Whirlwind Weekend!

Every now and then, we find ourselves with a weekend of multiple opportunities and limited time. This past weekend was a perfect example of "doing it all"! Thanks for coming along on this ride with us.

Saturday morning: Buffalo Hill Farm, Oxford, MA.
Paul and I headed out to this magnificent, historical farm house in order to help our friends rebuild the front deck. We have been blessed to have access to this house for our annual church retreat for the past 4 years. It is such a wonderful place for relaxation and fellowship. We are so happy to be able to help maintain this treasure.

Saturday afternoon and evening: Rugby Fundraiser game and party, Warwick, RI
After several hours of work on the farm, Paul and I drove down to Rhode Island for a rugby game and fundraiser for a fellow rugby player who was seriously injured during a rugby tournament last year. We enjoyed reconnecting with our rugby friends, supporting a great need, and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in the Ocean State.

Sunday: NYPD vs FDNY football game, Long Island, NY
By 6am Sunday morning, Paul and I were back in the car and heading to NY to support our brother, Neil who plays for the NYPD football team. Each year, the NYPD plays the FDNY for the final game of the year; which is quite the rivalry. We arrived at 10am where we enjoyed a delicious homemade brunch and a great visit with Neil, his fiance, Laura, and family. We then headed over to Hofstra University for the big game.
Neil had a great game with a couple of big defensive sacks! By the end of the day, NYPD was victorious with a final score of 17-7; leading the NYPD to the national championship game where they will play Arizona in Tempe, AZ. Go NYPD!

We hit the road again at 4:30pm and arrived back home safe and sound by 9:30pm (A caffeinated Paul makes a great pilot!)
